This particular route of B&O was the Baltimore & Ohio Richwood Branch, which extended over a hundred miles from Clarksburg to Richwood, completed in 1901. Richwood, unsurprisingly named for its abundance of timber, boomed by the 1930s as a thriving industrial town;
