When Brooklyn Tweed set out to create Quarry, they had in mind a chunky weight wool inspired by roving style yarns: light and lofty, but with a little more strength and stitch definition. At first glance it looks like a singles yarn, and appears fairly substantial in the skein. But in the hand, it's surprisingly light, soft, and almost feels felted.
