The name comes from the belief that it was used by people carrying fish between the towns of Totnes and Dartmouth to avoid paying a tax. For me the walk along this lane is exhilarating, a steep hill with wonderful views. As you can see I started this drawing with some found pigments I gathered on the path, it helps me begin with a free
