Ichiro's Malt Mizunara Wood Reserve Bourbon Cream slight spiciness but no woodIchiros 100% blended malts are sourced from two, historic distilleries: the shuttered Hanyu distillery, and the operational Chichibu distillery. The malt from Hanyu was aged in sherry casks, and new make spirit from Chichibu was aged in ex fill bourbon casks (Quercus Alba). Once married, these two malts were then finished for a short period of time in Mizunara oak (Quercus Mongolica). Nose: Lots happening here: wood notes, wet hayfields, tropical
