Jeanette MacDonald Finish:Single New Zealand in 1898 andJeanette MacDonald (1903 1965), American singer and actress, c1930s c1940s. Signed photograph. In 1929 Ernst Lubitsch saw MacDonald and cast her opposite Maurice Chevalier in The Love Parade. Unfortunately for MacDonald, musicals went into decline and in 1931 Paramount dropped her.
