Side views of one whole fish and one head study, as if in life. Found loosely inserted in Recherches sur les poisons fosssiles tome 1, by Louis Agassiz (Neuchatel, 1833 1843), pp. 36 37. Agassiz's work was the first significant survey of fossil ichthyology and these rough sketches were probably made by someone using the book
