Amedee Courbet, French admiral Product:Canvas Hauling one of the 'Lusitania's'Amedee Courbet, French admiral, 1880. In May 1880 Courbet (1827 1885) was appointed Governor of New Caledonia. He later won several victories in the Tonkin Campaign (1883 1886) and the Sino French War (1884 1885).
