This is a great chance to taste Auchroisk in its own right. Distilled on the 19th January 2015, this whisky was initially matured in a hogshead before finishing for over two years in an ex Manzanilla cask. That Manzanilla influence shows through in flavours of apple, almonds and oak driven sweetness. The label's own tasting notes point to panettone,
