1/4 Post Mortem Ambrotype Boy in Hidden Father's Lap gold rush At their feet are twoOriginal 1850s, quarter plate ambrotype, deceased boy in the lap of a man, almost certainly his father, whose face is partially visible. Ambrotype is housed in its original decorated thermoplastic case that is in perfect condition! I could not find a single flaw of any kind, not even a tiny nick. You will not find a case in better condition than this one, a case which I believe also happens to be pretty rare. Closed, the case's largest side measures
