MUSKATBLOMME sort peber Bree HutchinsThe mace is the beautiful red sheath or aril that surrounds the nutmeg itself. Our nutmegs and mace grow on up to 20 meter tall nutmeg trees a stone's throw from our friend and collaborator Nihal's forest garden outside Kandy. The mace fruits are allowed to sit on the trees until they are fully ripe and fall to the ground on their own.
