It is cut to a classic 1940s silhouette with strong padded shoulders and a nipped waist

The underarm seams have recently been reinforced to give added strength

but the tongue is missing from one of the shoes

They were fashioned with a low heel and a strap across the top of the foot for support while dancing! This strap attaches at the side with the a small button. The top of the shoes features classic scalloped court shoe stitching details and the inside of the shoes has a makers reference and is marked size 4 1 2
