In Uzbekistan the Ikat technique is called Abrband, which is an ancient way of creating designs in fabric by resist dyeing the threads before the fabric is woven. This technique produces a distinctive vibrancy of colour and design. There is a rich history of pomegranate iconography in Uzbekistan. They are known
